For the past two years now, I have been contracted to work the Toronto International Film Festival by Amarula.
Amarula is a cream liqueur that is made from the Marula fruit native to South America.
Legend has it that wild elephants would eat this fruit, then become intoxicated and rampage through villages, destroying everything in their path.
The cocktail that we were serving at the Festival was the “Amarula-colada”, which consists of 1 oz of Amarula, and 4 oz of coconut water, shaken and poured over ice.
